If you have a dog that prefers quieter environments with more individualized attention, yet still full of stimulating fun, play, and excitement, we may be a good fit! I am an experienced dog handler and behaviorist, and I only accept 1-2 dogs at a time, which means your dog will enjoy a structured, calm, and familiar home environment.
We specialize in providing care for more anxious, easily overstimulated dogs, or dogs that do better in home-like environments. My dog and I work as a team in rehabilitating anxious dogs in my work as a behaviorist, so if your dog stays with us, they will enjoy a serene home environment. We balance out the calm home environment with 1-1.5 hours of structured nature and park walks/jogs everyday to keep your dog happy and healthily stimulated.
I live in a very quiet neighborhood with direct front door access to a 1 mile private paved path and manicured grass patches that overlook a large canyon nature reserve. It’s the best combo of private park and fenced backyard, full of great smells and stimulating sights for dogs!

About Eden and Baowie
My depth of experience in dog care and training comes from my relationship with my own dog. We are a certified therapy animal team and participate in agility training, activities which necessitate a keen intuition for a dog's needs and wants. My priority above all else lies in establishing communication that has a foundation grounded in mutual respect, care, and joy.
As a dog behaviorist, my dog and I have successfully rehabilitated dogs that are fearful, anxious, and easily overstimulated. My training style is informed by the latest scientific research in the nervous system and my daycare-and-train programs are spread out over a longer period of time to ensure lasting change. I work with dogs at their pace, slowly and compassionately training their nervous system to open up to positive behavior change, always ensuring they feel safe and that their limits are respected.

What are your hours?
Earliest drop off is 8 am. Latest pick up is 9 pm.
What are your extended care rates?
When a boarding pick up time ends significantly later than the drop off time, I add an extended care rate. If the extended time is 2-8 hours, I charge 50% of my nightly rate. If the extended time is more than 8 additional hours, I charge 100% of my nightly rate.
How many dogs do you board a night?
We board 1 dog per night, occasionally 2. During holidays we may host up to 5 dogs. We are a homestyle experience and take a very low volume of dogs that have been thoroughly screened.
Are you insured?
I am independently insured and covered by a $2 million aggregate policy.
What is your puppy rate?
An extra $20 per day.

An extra $20 per day.

About Eden
My background is in cognitive neuroscience, education, and nervous system informed mindfulness therapies.
I graduated from Berkeley with a degree in Cognitive Science and Education. My work with dogs is highly informed by my education and experience as a meditation teacher in private and corporate settings.
